More Cudahy fire stuff
If you follow me via RSS, I apologize for cluttering up your feed, but here’s a video of the fire from earlier today. Video via Elizabeth’s Hot Topics.
If you didn’t get an opportunity to watch the Mayor’s press conference at 3:30 this afternoon, JSOnline has a very brief summary of it.
The fire has supposedly flared up again, and Cudahy is pumping water in from Milwaukee. They’ve gone through 9 million gallons of water so far, which is apparently all 7 of their water towers.
Patrick Cudahy fire

Patrick Cudahy, the butcher/meat packing plant the town of Cudahy is built upon, is currently burning to the ground and has been since 10 pm last night. My mom, my sister, and their cats are currently refugees and are in my house for awhile. The above picture is not the plant, that’s the school in front of my house, which is a little over 5 miles from the plant. That smoke above the school? That does belong to the plant. Yes, we can see the plumes of smoke all the way over here.
I don’t have any added info that people in Milwaukee don’t already know, but you can watch a live feed at Fox 6 Milwaukee’s website, along with a chatroom of other Milwaukee dwellers giving updates. The camera angle on the feed isn’t as good as the one they had earlier. The camera the had right next to the fire cut out.
